Through donor generosity, participants attend a fully sponsored weeklong leadership conference featuring educational sessions, distinguished speakers, meals, and program expenses all at no cost to them. Beyond professional development, the conference cultivates lasting relationships and a network of advocates who collaborate, share ideas, and amplify efforts that improve the lives of military families.

Founded in 2008, the AFI MSOY program honors the extraordinary contributions of military spouses from every branch of service. Through nominations and multiple rounds of advancement, military spouses are given the opportunity to share their stories, inspire others, and champion issues affecting the military community.
Each year, representatives from every branch are recognized — culminating in the announcement of the overall Armed Forces Insurance Military Spouse of the Year® in our nation's capital.
