About NMCF

Established in 2024, the National Military Community Foundation is a dedicated not-for-profit organization committed to honoring, supporting, and advocating for veterans, military spouses, and their families. Through meaningful recognition of their achievements and advocacies, we uplift the voices of those who serve and strengthen the military community worldwide.

One of our cornerstone initiatives, the Armed Forces Insurance Military Spouse of the Year® (AFI MSOY®) Program, operates as part of our mission to amplify the contributions of military spouses. As an activity within our 501(c)(19) nonprofit, the AFI MSOY® Program empowers spouses through leadership opportunities, advocacy efforts, and community engagement, ensuring their vital role in the military family is recognized and celebrated.

Beyond advocacy and recognition, the foundation provides educational opportunities for veterans and military spouses, offering avenues for professional development that empower them to enhance their expertise and expand their impact.

The AFI MSOY program celebrates the extraordinary impact of military spouses who are driving meaningful change in their communities. From reforming PCS processes to tackling food insecurity and advocating for EFMP families, these changemakers rise above the challenges of military life to lead with purpose, compassion, and resilience. Each honored spouse is selected for their outstanding leadership, deep community involvement, and ability to build bridges through powerful communication and storytelling. Whether initiating grassroots efforts or influencing policy, they embody the spirit of service and connection- proving that behind every uniform is a network of support and transformative action.
